Closer to France than London! Treat yourself to a days shopping in Calais

Golf courses don't come much more famous than the Royal St. George's at Sandwich.

Home to The Open on several occasions, it is expected to host it again in 2011. Just 10 miles along the coast, Well Cottage is ideally located for this event.

Local courses include

  • Sandwich
  • Royal St Georges
  • Royal Cinque Ports
  • Walmer & Kingsdown

Be sure to leave yourself a day free to nip over to France.
Being so close to the port you could be shopping in a Calais or Boulogne Market in less time than it can take to drive to London.

This part of the South East Coast has long been a favourite of ramblers and cyclists alike, with the coastal path from Deal to Dover running through St Margarets Bay.

There are also miles of beach to be explored too!

And, after a hard days leisure.......

Why not kick back and relax in one of our local pubs or restaurants, there are three within a couple of minutes walk from the cottage and
The Coastguard a little further, down on the beach. Or even treat yourself to a session in one of the Spa's.

'Wallets Court', for the highest quality food for many miles, is also only a 15 minute walk and yet another fantastic Restaurant, The Bay Restaurant, that offers exceptional food and drink is situated in the centre of the village.
